I understand that you have requested arborist services and that you have received a bid from Andrew Hordyk of Arborwood Tree Service Inc. I work for the City of Toronto Arborist Department and am currently the head instructor/trainer for the City of Toronto. Andrew Hordyk is one of the lead instructors for Arboriculture Canada and the owner/operator of Arborwood Tree Service Inc.

Approximately four years ago Andrew was one of the instructors for a course put on for the City of Toronto employees. At first I was resistant to these courses, but now I love the course and greatly appreciate the wealth of knowledge that they have in the industry. For the past three years I have assisted Andrew as well as other Arboriculture Canada instructors with teaching their courses as well as setting up courses for employees.

The City of Toronto has its own arborists and has not contracted Arborwood Tree Service to render arborist services. However, I know that Andrew's business is competent and highly respected in the industry. It is my opinion that any work that he may complete for your organization would be completed in a safe and professional manner.
